It took more than 1 million legos and 1,000 hours for Ohio State professor Paul Janssen to create a replica of Ohio Stadium in his basement.

Janssen told the Columbus Dispatch he began planning the 8-foot by 6-foot project in 2005, three years after he was hired as an associate professor of physiology and cell biology at Ohio State University.

To find all the necessary Lego pieces, Janssen spent over three years purchasing or trading legos through online marketplace bricklink.com.  It then took nearly two years to assemble the replica which is built to about a 1/100 scale.

Legos are great and all, but how does one have this much time?  When the Columbus Dispatch asked for a comment from Janssen's wife about the replica, she declined.  Wonder why?
