The Laramie Animal Control is seeking the public’s help in locating a dog that bit someone over the weekend.

According to a release, a dog bite occurred in the area of the fields near Foothills Street on Saturday, May 2, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The victim said that the dog was medium to large sized with a medium length brown coat. Its coat was described as being a “little shaggy”. The dog bite victim could not provide any information about the gender of the dog or if it was wearing a collar.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this dog or the owner is asked to call the Animal Control Unit at 721-5385 or the non-emergency Dispatch line at 721-2526.

The Animal Control Unit would like to remind everyone that animal bites could involve exposure to rabies and that all animal bites must be reported to the Animal Control Unit immediately.
