Police Car-Ask the City

Question:

Why is there a Laramie Police Department vehicle blocking the sidewalk on S 3rd and Russell Street at the old Robo Car Wash a few nights a week?

Answer:

"One of the many important duties a police officer has is traffic enforcement. Visible traffic enforcement is something police do to ensure the safety of our community members. While performing traffic enforcement duties, officers are acting as emergency vehicles and in that capacity, they can disregard ordinances related to parking. If the public walkway were needed, officers would certainly accommodate pedestrians at any of these locations around the community."
