Original artwork honoring the University of Wyoming’s 1943 NCAA Basketball Championship are currently available for purchase at NCAA.com/Art. The artwork depicts Wyoming basketball legends Kenny Sailors and Everett Shelton and was commissioned by the NCAA for this past year’s 75th Anniversary Celebration of March Madness.

The original piece of art is available for purchase for a minimum bid of $6,000 and the reproductions are available for sale at a special reduced price of $299 each through Father’s Day on June 16. The Father’s Day sale is 20% off the regular price of the reproductions. The reproductions are a limited edition of 250 and are numbered.

The 2012 - 2013 season marked 75 years of NCAA’s March Madness – one of the world’s most popular sporting events.

The University of Wyoming is one of only 35 NCAA Division I schools in history to that have won the coveted NCAA Men’s Final Four during its first 75 years of existence.

In partnership with the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation, the NCAA commissioned world renowned sports artist Opie Otterstad to create an original painting of Coach Shelton and 1943 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player Sailors to celebrate Wyoming’s 1943 National Championship win.
