JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — An industry observer says the American Airlines bankruptcy proceedings should not disrupt winter service to Jackson Hole.

Mike Gierau (JEE’-uh-roo) of Jackson Hole Air Improvement Resources says he doesn’t think the bankruptcy filing will effect service in the long term either.

The Dallas-Fort Worth-based carrier has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. The company says service would not be disrupted during the legal process.

Jackson Hole Air Improvement Resources works to ensure adequate winter jet service to and from northwest Wyoming.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (http://bit.ly/stWCAV) that it has contracted with American Airlines for flights from Dallas-Fort Worth this winter.
