CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — An unnamed defendant stands accused of sexual abuse and kidnapping in the abduction of a two-year-old Glenrock girl from her residence last weekend.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert after the girl disappeared from her bedroom early Saturday.

Glenrock Police Chief Tom Sweet has said the girl was found alive in an abandoned vehicle Saturday afternoon. Authorities arrested an unidentified person later that day.

Wyoming law specifies the identity of people accused of sex crimes against children won’t be released unless they’re bound over to district court.

The Converse County Attorney’s Office said the unnamed suspect had an initial circuit court appearance Friday on charges of sexual abuse, kidnapping and larceny. A judge will hold a hearing June 1st to determine whether the case will go to district court.
