Marilyn Moody appeared at a public forum in the Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center as part of her bid to become the next dean of University of Wyoming Libraries.

Moody is currently tenured at Portland State University as a professor and the library dean.  She was also a professor and library dean at Boise State University from 2006-2012.

On Monday, Moody discussed her current projects at Portland State University, her background, and her vision for the University of Wyoming Libraries.

Moody says one of her current projects at PSU is reducing textbook costs for students through open textbooks and open educational resources.

"Another area that I'm really interested in is: how do you get the word out about the scholarship and research that are happening at a university?" said Moody.

Catherine Hamer made her presentation Jan. 26, and Clement "Clem" Guthro is scheduled to take part in a public forum on Friday.  Ivan Gaetz is scheduled to appear Tuesday, Feb. 9.
