Laramie will be one of over 10,000 cities and towns across the country that will be participating in the 26th annual Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive.

This event takes place Saturday, May 12, and it’s easy to get involved. Just leave non-perishable food items in a bag next to your mailbox. Letter carriers will collect them and deliver them to local food banks, like Interfaith-Good Samaritan.

Ben Brosmire from the United States Postal Service was a guest during the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show Friday with host David Settle. He explained how you can help, how the Laramie community has assisted in the past and more.

According to the United States Postal Service in a release about the Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive, with 42 million people facing hunger every day in America, including 13 million children, this drive is one way you can help those in your own city or town who need help.
