It's Laramie against Cheyenne in high school hoops this weekend, as both the Laramie Plainsmen and Lady Plainsmen take on Central and East.

It will be a weekend of action split between the two communities.  The ladies will be in Laramie tonight and then in Cheyenne tomorrow afternoon, while the guys are opposite.

The 4th-ranked Lady Plainsmen (11-3, 0-2) will host the also 4th-ranked East Lady T-Birds (11-4. 1-0) tonight at the LHS gym.  Game time is set for 7:30 pm.

Laramie had only six losses all of last season, but four of those came to East.  Coming off a tough opening weekend in conference play with losses to #1 Sheridan and #2 Gillette, the Lady Plainsmen are hoping the home court can get them going back in right direction.

Saturday, they will go on the road for another tough test in the 4A East Conference, as LHS is at #3 Cheyenne Central (14-2, 0-1).  Game time is 3:30 pm Saturday at the Central High School fieldhouse.  Central will play Casper Kelly Walsh Friday before taking on Laramie.  The Lady Plainsmen swept both meetings last year against the Lady Indians.

Meanwhile, the Laramie Plainsmen (6-8, 1-1) come off a huge win over previous #1 Gillette last Saturday at the LHS gym.  They'll be trying to keep the momentum going as they travel to the Capital City to square off against the East T-Birds (8-5, 1-0).

LHS was 1-2 last season versus East.  They lost both game in the regular season, but knocked off the T-Birds at the regional tournament last March.  Game time is set for 7:30 pm.

Saturday the Plainsmen return to the LHS gym and battle the Central Indians (1-12, 0-1).  Central faces Kelly Walsh tonight before coming to the Gem City tomorrow.  Laramie swept three games from the Indians last year.
