There will be a birthday party at the downtown SafeRide office on Wednesday from 5-7 pm to celebrate its first ten years as a program. SafeRide is the University of Wyoming's free public transportation system for UW students and the Laramie community.

In ten years, SafeRide has provided over 250,000 rides and ridership now averages about 30,000 per year according to the University.

The Associated Students of UW student fee covers SafeRide's $180,000 budget.  The Coalition to Prevent Substance Abuse (CoPSA) and WyoTech are also major supporters and have helped fund the program.

The downtown office is located at 403 S. 3rd Street in Laramie.
