Traveling Eats: Laramie Food Truck Fest Today & Tomorrow!
Laramie does food well. While there are a number of great restaurants, another fun emerging eating experience is from one of the multitudes of food trucks springing up in parking lots and curbsides around town.
For the next two days, Pleebr Laramie is hosting a food truck festival, “Rolling in Flavors,” in the First Interstate Bank parking lot. Friday, June 23, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, June 24 from 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. Visit their Facebook page for a list of participating vendors and a scan code for coupons and rewards. Food Trucks Serving Up Eats in Laramie
Double Dubs
A Laramie staple, Double Dub’s (Weitzel’s Wings) serves wings with all the sauces a wing lover could want, with classic buffalo and others like sweet cinn-a-bee and a garlic-alfredo version. Partake in the wing-eating contest, then cool off with some bleu cheese fries. Visit their Facebook page here for a full menu.
The Soda Pit
Specialty drinks like the Gem City Slam & The Dad Joke pair well with ½ pound cookies and pretzel bites. Get the kids a Butter Beer or a Dirty Monkey, obviously. Visit their Facebook page for a list of favorites and other menu items.
Nick’s Food Rendezvous
Visiting the Farmer’s Market, downtown shenanigans, and other events, Nick’s food truck is now catering events–even on Sundays. From burgers, bbq to gyros, they serve a variety of good food on a rotating menu. Check out their Facebook page for tantalizing food photos and updates.
Chacho’s Tacos
Chef Sanchez brings Mexican and Southwest cuisine to Laramie for good food and a whole “culinary experience,” as the website states. They offer a variety of selections, served street taco style, burrito style, or in a bowl. For location updates, visit their Facebook page.
Mr. Taco Loko
A taco food truck that serves breakfast burritos! Usually found in Murdoch’s parking lot, Mr. Taco Loko also travels to events, markets, and upon request. Breakfast is 8-11 a.m., and the truck closes at 8 p.m. most days. For more locations and updates, look on Facebook.
Tacos el Gordo
Head to the West Side to sample these Mexican entrees, including popular tamales and quesadillas. Usually parked in the Snowy Range Car Wash parking lot, the truck is open 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
Jamaica One Stop Kitchen
From Cheyenne, this truck makes it over the hill on occasion to park in Murdoch’s parking lot. Goat curry, jerk chicken, ackee and fish, beans, and rice, and other Jamaican staples are on the menu. Visit their Facebook page to find out more.
Sweet Mel’s
One of Laramie’s most cherished restaurants in a summertime truck. Get some of their vegetarian staples, surprise specials, and an adult beverage. They will be at most Friday Farmers Markets at the Train Depot. Check out Sweet Melissa’s Facebook page for more updates on their truck.
Curry Time
Parked on Friday nights at the Farmers Market, it’s quick and convenient Indian Cuisine. Their spring menu has three main course items: Lamb Roganjosh, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Kadai Paneer. Island BBQ
For some authentic Filipino BBQ, Island BBQ is the place. Offering a variety of barbequed meats plus rice and sides, service comes with a smile, according to their reviews. Check their Facebook page for location updates.

Specializing in line-caught Alaskan cod and signature sauces, this truck started as two UW engineering students and is now a multi-truck, multi-state enterprise. The roving seafood truck sets its schedule a week in advance. For location updates, check their website calendar here.
