K2 Radio Legend Brian Scott Being Inducted To KW Hall Of Fame

It's been nearly 10 years since a radio legend, Brian Scott Gamroth, passed away and left a huge hole in the Casper community.

Unfortunately for me, I never had the chance to meet Brian, but in the 5 years I've lived in Casper, I've heard many fantastic stories about his love for his family, the community, the state, and his willingness to help in any way he could.

In my 30+ years in the radio business, I've met some legends, but rarely would they check off every qualification of being a true legend. It's not often that, after being gone for 10 years, someone mentions something you've done or a way you impacted them on a regular basis, but that happens often when it comes to Brian and his legendary status.

From my research and the stories I've been told, Brian Scott had a heck of a checklist, making him qualified to be in any Hall of Fame or win any award that he's ever been nominated for, and it's been announced that his legacy will be remembered forever in the Kelly Walsh "Order of Troy" Hall of Fame.

Brian graduated from Kelly Walsh in 1983, and shortly after, his journey to become a staple of the Casper community began. After stops around the country and starting a family, he found his home back in Casper at K2 Radio, where he impacted the community until his passing 23 years later.

Along with Brian, three other Trojans will be inducted this year.

• Scott Cooper, Class of 1989: Government Affairs Leader and Retired U.S. Marine Corps Officer
• Kristen Heiss Pritchett, Class of 2005: University Educator and Former U.S. National Team Swimmer
