Question:

Why were residents south of Laramie, who are the only forced stakeholders, omitted from the I-80/3rd Street intersection study? Folks living south of I-80 would be the only residents impacted by a traffic circle or traffic lights on a day to day basis.

Answer:

"Everyone within 300' of a proposed alignment was mailed a notice of a public meeting, which was held at the Albany County Public Library on October 21, 2015. The meeting notice was also provided to media outlets, published in the local paper, and posted on both the city's website and Facebook page prior to the meeting. Opportunities for public comment were also made available at Planning Commission and City Council meetings.

Appendix B of the study includes a summary of the public meeting and is available online.

Ask the City Of Laramie is your chance to send the city that burning question that you have always wondered about such as: “Where can I get a city parking permit?” or “Why did my water usage rates go through the roof?”

Please note that the City of Laramie will answer as many questions as possible at their discretion.
