We have all seen glimpses of the beautiful summer days that are to come! If you're tired of doing the same old thing, then this weekend is your chance to kick start your summer excitement! This Saturday, groups and individuals who decide to take some time out of their morning will be participating in Laramie's Saturday Spring Clean Up!

Over 300 volunteers have already committed this weekend to certain areas around town. Those who are interested are asked to show up at Washington Park, where headquarters will be set up. Once there, you will be given trash bags and safety vests as well as your location.

The city of Laramie will be providing trash bags and dumpsters. Trucks will also be available. In support of the day, this Saturday, the landfill will be suspending all basic fees.

So far volunteers have ranged anywhere from children to senior citizens, club members and a variety of students. If you want to prep Laramie for the great summer days ahead then Saturday is your chance!

Beginning at 11am, the Laramie City Fire Department will have a free lunch for all of the volunteers at Washington Park's Shelter One.

The Spring Clean Up Day is jointly sponsored by a number of local groups and organizations including the Laramie Beautification Committee, LEDC and the city of Laramie.
