The race for Albany County Commissioner is a rather crowded field in 2018 just ahead of the primary election next Tuesday.

One of the 11 candidates that will be on the ballot is Klaus Halbsgut. The Laramie business owner and first-time candidate stopped by the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show Thursday for a visit with host David Settle.

Halbsgut explained why he’s running, what major issues Albany County is facing and a lot more, including focusing on more than Laramie if elected.

Absentee balloting has been underway since early July. Those ballots must be in by Monday, Aug. 20. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21. Visit Laramielive.com and follow our Laramie Live Facebook page for results next Tuesday evening.
