Governor Matt Mead said Wednesday that one year after the signing of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), little is known about how the law will affect Wyoming.  In a release Mead said that Wyoming is better prepared than Washington to solve health care problems within the state.

Mead noted that President Obama challenged states to come up with alternatives to the ACA. Mead says Wyoming has accepted that challenge.

"Our legislature passed a bill this session to continue a state health care demonstration project that focuses on keeping people healthy and controlling costs." -Governor Mead

The ACA turned one year old Wednesday.  More information on the ACA can be found at healthcare.gov.
