Governor Mead Names New WYDOT Director

Governor Matt Mead has chosen Bill Panos to head the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).

The agency is responsible for the maintenance, engineering and design of Wyoming highways.

"Bill has proven himself as a talented leader and effective manager as the Director of the School Facilities Department," said Mead. "I am pleased he agreed to assume the responsibility of the Wyoming Department of Transportation."

Panos, who was one of four nominations for the position, has been the interim director since October 12.

"The Wyoming Department of Transportation has a proud tradition of quality leadership," said Mead. "That continues with Bill as Director."
