Department of Homeland Security Training is Coming to Laramie

LARAMIE —The Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium is bringing free Department of Homeland Security-certified training to Laramie.

The training will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at the Albany County Fairgrounds Main Building, 3510 South 3rd St. in Laramie.

"Business Continuity Planning" is an 8-hour management-level course designed to prepare small and large business to effectively plan for emergencies of all types.

The course was developed by the NorthWest Arkansas Community College's Institute of Corporate and Public Safety in partnership with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Tyson Foods, Inc.,  J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., and several public service first responders.

The course strives to teach executive-level managers and small business owners how to develop a comprehensive and effective business continuity program from start to finish.

Participants must register by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, to ensure their spot in the course.
