The National Weather Service says that the snow will be ending Thursday morning, but the winds will continue. The Blizzard Warning is still in effect until 6:00 PM tonight. Travel across the region continues to be dangerous and in some cases impossible. Officials are urging people to stay home while crews work to clear roads.

Much of I-80, I-25, and many highways and county roads in Wyoming remain closed Thursday morning.

Here's the latest update from the NWS:

Message of the Day:

• Avoid unnecessary travel if at all possible today!

• Blowing and drifting snow will continue to pose problems for travel through this afternoon.

• Conditions will slowly clear up later this afternoon and evening

Road crews are hard at work but mother nature is putting up a fight! Light snow is slowly ending but blowing and drifting snow is still going to cause major travel problems for the morning commute. We recommend avoiding travel if at all possible until winds die down later this afternoon. Expect gusts to 50 mph through 6 pm tonight. While snow may not be falling it can still blow and reduce visibility!
