Chaundra Sewell posted her first double-double as the Cowgirl Basketball team beat the Utah State Aggies, 80-50, on Thursday in Logan, UT.

The Cowgirls (9-3) got off to a slow start and were down 6-12 to the Aggies (6-6) 15:25 to go in the first half.  Over the next ten minutes, Wyoming would take complete control and go on a 24-6 run.

At halftime the Cowgirls were up 40-24 and they would spend the second half extending that lead.

Ball movement was the key to beating the Aggies' zone as the Cowgirls would end up with 28 assists on 32 field goals.

Two Cowgirls recorded a double-double. Chaudra Sewell finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Aubrey Vandiver had 18 points and 12 rebounds.  Jade Kennedy was on the edge of a triple-double with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.

Hillary Carlson posted 24 points and 4 rebounds. Carlson also had 4 blocked shots which gives her 162 blocked shots in her career and ties her with Hanna Zavecz in second place in the Cowgirl record book. This was also the third consecutive game she has put up over 20 points.

Wyoming's bench played strong and came up with 17 points after being silent in the Cowgirl win over Montana on Tuesday.

The Cowgirls are leading the Mountain West Conference with a 9-3 record.  Next week they will play an exhibition game in Rock Springs against Montana-Western.  Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and coverage will begin on KOWB at 6:30 p.m.
