October is “Clean Water Appreciation Month” in Laramie and it celebrates the wonderful, clean water the city receives from the Casper Aquifer and Laramie River.

Albany County Clean Water Advocates or ACCWA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the Casper Aquifer and keeping water safe for future generations. The group’s goal is to prevent the deterioration of drinking water in the Laramie area.

Sylvia Bagdonas and Bern Hinckley with ACCWA joined host David Settle during the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show to explain what ACCWA is, who is involved, what their mission is, and the celebration during this month.

Their slideshow presentation will be Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. in the Albany County Public Library.
