Cheyenne Firefighters Shed Their Coats for ‘Coats for Kids’
Cheyenne Firefighters have teamed up with Black Dog Animal Rescue to put out their first ever firefighters calendar.
"Everyone's pretty excited for it," said spokesman Derek Pollnow. "It's something we've been pressured to do."
The 2018 calendar features 15 firefighters from Cheyenne Fire and Rescue with adoptable dogs from BDAR.
"All the proceeds are going to be split between Black Dog Animal Rescue and the Cheyenne Firefighters," said Pollnow. "Our portion of those proceeds are going to be donated to the Cheyenne Coats for Kids organization."
"We seek different organizations that we can help out with throughout the year, so we figured we'd shed our coats for those in need of them," he added.
The calendar, which costs $20, will be unveiled during a reveal party Monday night and made available to the public after that.
"We should have a handful down at our headquarters fire station and they will also be at the Black Dog Animal Rescue facility," said Pollnow. "Both organizations can also be reached by their Facebook messengers."
"We hope that the community finds as much fun in it as we had doing it," Pollnow added.
