The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for parts of Albany County, including the city of Laramie, in effect until noon Tuesday (June 9).

Travel will be difficult Monday night into Tuesday, especially in the mountains, because of strong winds and wet snow. Several inches of snow are possible in the Laramie Valley area ,including the city of Laramie, and the Interstate 80 Corridor to Arlington, Wyoming.

* WHAT...Heavy wet snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4
  inches. Total accumulations of 5 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as
  high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Laramie Valley including Laramie.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM MDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Some power lines and numerous tree branches will be
  down. Roads will be slushy and snowpacked, and icy in spots,
  especially over bridges.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
