Memorial Hospital of Carbon County was trying to keep up to date and in sync with their patient records when a rare and accidental misunderstanding lead to the distribution of  thousands of collection agency bills to approximately 1,700 households in Rawlins, WY.

Memorial Hospital had sent out a list of accounts to a collection agency roughly three weeks ago to make sure that their records were up to date. The collection agency however accidentally thought they were supposed to pursue the accounts on the list and began sending out statements.

Hopefully the next time Memorial Hospital of Carbon County sends out a list of accounts a better explanation will come with it and thankfully those 1,700 households don't have to worry about a dreaded collection agency bill!
