30th & Grand Project Finished Early, Intersection Reopened
The new Grand Avenue and 30th Street intersection was opened to the public by the Wyoming Transportation Department at 3 p.m. on Thursday after over two months of work. WYDOT engineer Scott Taylor said the project was completed eight days early thanks to the diligent work of those involved.

Snowy Range Summer Theatre Opens Season With ‘The Santaland Diaries’
The University of Wyoming’s Snowy Range Summer Theatre decided to kick off summer by tickling your funny bone. “The Santaland Diaries” is based on the true chronicles of humorist David Sedaris’ experience as Crumpet the Elf in Macy’s Santaland display and is playing nightly at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday, June 9, in the UW Fine Arts Studio Theatre.

Don’t put away those solar observing glasses just yet, another rare astronomical event will be visible in Laramie. The planet Venus will cross the face of the sun on Tuesday night, something that won’t occur again for 105 years. To make sure you can safely see it all happen, the Laramie Astronomical Society and Space Observers (LASSO) will host a solar observation party from 4PM to sunset.
