While scrolling through Facebook this week, I stumbled upon this article from Only In Your State that located the most affordable vacation in the state of Wyoming. I'll admit, I was a little iffy on what their definition of "affordable" might be, given that I was expecting the vacation spot to be near Jackson Hole, but received a pleasant surprise.

Turns out, Wyoming's most affordable vacation is a stay at Mountain Meadow Cabins, which are located in the Snowy Range Mountains. It's about a 45 minute drive from Laramie, according to Google Maps. The best part? The cabins don't close for the winter season! The rates on the cabins change depending on size and season, but the most expensive cabin sleeps 5 people in the winter and costs $130 a night. Split that among 5 people, and that's only $26 a night, which is easily doable for a small weekend getaway.

Winter activities include: snowmobiling, skiing, and sledding. Vacationers looking for summer activitieshave a little bit more choice in their leisure activities with options such as horseback riding, hunting, fishing, hiking, and more.

So if you're looking for a way to get rid of those "winter blues", maybe it's time to take a mini vacation!
