LARAMIE -- The University of Wyoming Track & Field teams travel to Pueblo, Colo., for this weekend’s Spank Blasing Invite in the Neta and Eddie Derose Thunderbowl.

The meet, which runs Friday through Saturday, is hosted by Colorado State-Pueblo.

This will be the second outdoor meet of the season for the Cowboys and Cowgirls, who are coming off of last weekend’s UNLV Spring Invitational. In Las Vegas, seven top-10 UW all-time marks were set, five by the Cowgirls and two by the Cowboys.

Aumni Ashby’s 40-2 mark in the triple jump was good for fourth on the UW all-time list, Shayla Howell and Sadie McMullen set marks in the Long Jump (5th and 8th), while Mary Carbee and Anna Gillis broke into the books with their throws in the Hammer (7th and 10th).

On the men’s side William Nolan and freshman Kareem Mersal set the 8th and 10th best marks in the Long Jump with their performances.

The spring outdoor slate is set for the Cowboys and Cowgirls. Including last week’s UNLV Spring Invitational and this week’s Spank Blasing Wyoming has seven meets scheduled before the Mountain West Championships on May 13th-15th.

The NCAA West Regionals will take place on May 27th-29th, with the NCAA Championships set for June 10-12 in Eugene, Ore.

Spank Blasing Invite gets started with the Hammer on Friday afternoon, with the rest of the meet taking place during the day on Saturday. A full schedule can be found below.
