Last week near Evanston, Wyoming Highway Patrol seized 74 pounds of high grade marijuana carrying a street value of about a half-million dollars.

The seizure was made shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, when highway patrol stopped a car for a speeding violation.

The driver, 41-year-old Christopher Brady consented to a search of the vehicle, during which troopers discovered two duffle bags, containing 60 individually vacuum packed bags of marijuana and 3 prescription Percocet pills, of which he did not have a prescription.

Brady was taken into custody and faces felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance in pill form less than 3 grams.

An investigation is ongoing by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation along with Wyoming Highway Patrol, but at this time, it is believed that Brady was driving from the Portland, Oregon area to the Kansas City area where he intended to deliver the drugs.
