Wyoming High School Boys Swimming State Meet 2018
Time for one last dip in the pool.
The 2018 Wyoming High School Boys Swimming State Championships are scheduled to take place February 15-17, in Laramie.
All-State Recognition: There is no voting for all-state. Swimmers must finish in either the top 2 of an individual event, or must be part of a first place relay team.
3A:
5 3A state records were broken (two were broken twice).
Lander (Lucas Hulme, Caleb Huelskamp, Colin Kinney, and Nick Kulow) set a new 3A record in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1 minute 38.51 seconds. This was done in the preliminaries. The old record was 1:39.15 set in 2015.
Carl Krell of Kemmerer broke his own 3A record twice in the 100 Yard Butterfly twice. In the preliminaries, he had a time of 50.79 seconds, and then he had a time of 50.39 in the finals. The old record was 50.89 seconds set in 2016.
Caleb Huelskamp of Lander broke his own 3A record in the 100 Yard Breaststroke twice. In the preliminaries, he had a time of 57.69 seconds and then he had a time of 57.28 in the finals. The old record was 58.36 seconds set in 2003.

Laramie's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team set a new state record with a time of 3:10.49. The old record was 3:12.26 set in 1999.
Laramie's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team missed the state record by 0.03 seconds.
