This week's schedule of games is almost as crazy as the state tournament, but the difference is that the coaches/media rankings won't matter in a couple of weeks.

In 4A Boys, Laramie is back up to #1 after their win vs. former #1 now #2 Cheyenne Central. The Indians are trying to shake off that loss, because they host make-up games vs. #3 Campbell County and unranked Sheridan this week, and then make-up vs. Cheyenne East, next Monday. The Camels just got stung at home by the Broncs who could be the hottest team in 4A right now. Sheridan shut out Laramie a couple of weeks ago, and then came back from 2 down with 18 minutes to go, on the road vs. the Campbell County, and somehow pulled off an OT win. In the west, #4 Rock Springs put themselves in the driver's seat for the #1 west seed for the regional tournament, with their OT at Green River, however the Tigers and the Wolves have to visit unranked Kelly Walsh this weekend, and the Trojans are still in the hunt for one of the top 2 west seeds, for the regional tournament.

There's no change in the latest 3A boys rankings, however #1 Lander will have their hands full the next few days. Starting with Southeast quadrant business at home Thursday vs. #3 Torrington. The TrailBlazers won the first game way back in March. Then Lander has more quadrant business at Rawlins (so does Torrington), and a home game with Newcastle. Once that's out of the way, then they can focus on their Fremont County battle next Tuesday, at #2 Riverton. Elsewhere, #4 Worland is playing out the non-quadrant schedule with home games vs. Douglas and Buffalo, while #5 Cody does something similar, home vs. Pinedale and Star Valley.

The latest 4A girls rankings could be a bit mixed up, that's because some of the votes were cast before Monday's big surprise happened. Campbell County is still ranked #1, but that may change in next week's rankings. #3 Cheyenne Central may be the hottest 4A girls team right now, and will get a chance to prove it at home, Wednesday vs. #2 Laramie. Cheyenne East drops 1 spot to #4, after their loss last week vs. the Lady Indians and the Lady Camels. Kelly Walsh remains as the lone west team in the top 5 at #5. The Lady Trojans will try to secure the west #1 seed for the regional tournament at home this weekend vs. Rock Springs and Green River.

Like the 3A boys, the latest 3A girls rankings are also unchanged. Undefeated Cody is still the unanimous #1. The Fillies have their eyes on a big game Saturday home vs. #2 Star Valley, who hasn't played in awhile, thanks to last weekend's weather. #3 Worland hosts #5 Douglas on Friday. #4 Buffalo has quadrant business to deal with this weekend, and then host the Lady Warriors next Tuesday, to close out the regular season.
