A Wyoming federal judge recently sentenced seven people for prostitution, drugs and firearms crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl conducted all of these sentencings.

 

Taylor Michelle Bowman, 26, of Upland, Calif., was sentenced to one-and-a-half years in prison, to be followed by three years of probation for transportation in interstate commerce for the purposes of prostitution or other unlawful sexual activity. Skavdahl also ordered her to pay a $300 fine and a $100 special assessment.

She was arrested in Cheyenne. The Cheyenne Police Department, FBI, and U.S. Office of Homeland Security investigated this case.

 

Former Casper resident Anthony James Kelley, 27, was sentenced for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Kelley received two years, six months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $300 fine and a $100 special assessment.

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives investigated this case.

Anthony Martin Lavadour, 64, of Salt Lake City was sentenced for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamine. He received five years of imprisonment to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.

Jerome Martin Lavadour, 39, of Kearns, Utah, also was sentenced for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamine. Lavadour was arrested in Salt Lake City. Like Anthony Lavadour, he received five years of imprisonment to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay community restitution in the amount of $500 and a $100 special assessment.

The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs investigated these cases involving the Lavadours. Court records do not indicate the relationship between these two men with the same last names.

Kevin Alan Swensen, 57, of Taylorsville, Utah, was sentenced on four counts of distribution of methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and two counts of distribution of heroin. Swensen was arrested in Fremont County. He received eight years of imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $11,300 in restitution, and $700 special assessment.

Troy Allen Watkins, 50, of Rock Springs was sentenced for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Watkins was arrested in Torrington. He received one year, 11 months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100.00 fine.

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives investigated this case.

Maicon Avila-Perez, 25, of Mexico and Salt Lake City was sentenced for possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine. Avila-Perez was arrested in Evanston. He received seven years of imprisonment to be followed by four years of supervised release.

The DCI investigated this case.
