The end of the year is upon us, a phrase that often gets people thinking about what they've accomplished this year and what they hope to accomplish next year. For film buffs, though, this time of the year is often referred to as "Oscar Season", that time of the year when most hard hitting biopics and drama films are released in theaters in preparation for awards season campaigns.

One of the late entries to Oscar Season is the Adam McKay-helmed "Vice", starring Christian Bale and Amy Adams as Dick and Lynne Cheney, respectively. Set for a Christmas Day release, the film depicts the road to Cheney's vice presidency under George W. Bush and the former vice president's influence on policies that helped shape the country and the world.

Given that the Cheney family has significant ties to Wyoming, as Cheney and his wife, Lynne, both spent at least part of their youth in Casper, and their daughter, Liz, currently serves Wyoming in the U.S. House of Representatives, it's possible that some Wyomingites are planning a Christmas Day excursion to the theater to check out the film.

Will you be checking out the film while it's in theaters?
