The final week of spring football practice is upon the Wyoming Cowboys, who went through a full-padded session Tuesday afternoon in War Memorial Stadium.

Coming off a closed scrimmage last Saturday, UW head coach Craig Bohl was pleased with the play of the quarterbacks and defensive backs when he spoke with the media at the beginning of practice. Bohl mentioned one highlight was a pick-six made by senior corner Antonio Hull off Tyler Vander Waal.

Bohl did admit that several positions have been tough to evaluate this spring due to injuries. That included the running backs, tight ends, along the offensive line, and defensive line.

Bohl then spoke to the media after practice to access how things went. He was asked about the wide receiver position and their development, plus their ability to make plays. Bohl added Thursday will be another full-padded practice that features different elements of a game.

Wyoming has two practice remaining in spring drills, including Saturday’s Spring Game, which is free and open to the public and media. It starts at 2 p.m. in Laramie at War Memorial Stadium. There’s also an alumni football game at 11:30 a.m. that features the return of former Cowboys Casey Bramlett, Brian Brown, John Wendling, and Ken Fantetti, just to name a few examples.
