LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A second building on the University of Wyoming campus has been recognized for its environmentally friendly design, construction and operation.

The university says the Bim Kendall House has been awarded LEED Gold recognition.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system was established by the U.S. Green Building Council in 1999.

The Kendall House is home to the UW Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources.

It achieved the LEED certification for efficient energy, water and material use, among other things.

UW students helped plan sustainable features of the building.
