UW Host Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

This week, the University of Wyoming's Outdoor Program, in conjunction with Cross Country Connection and the Student Activities Council, is hosting the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour event.

Every year, the Banff Mountain Film Festival is held in Banff, Canada.

Hundreds  of international adventure films are submitted to the festival for screening. The best films are then sent on a world tour to 500 locations, one of which is The University of Wyoming.

For two nights, 20 of the top-selected films will be shown in UW's Arts and Sciences Auditorium. Dan McCoy, Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, explains the selection process for the films: McCoy Film Selection

The Film Festival is from Feb. 19-20 starting at 7 p.m on both days. The event is free and open to the public.
