The University of Wyoming is ringing in the holiday spirit with a community wide festival of trees. The annual event brings the community together in an opportunity to view and bid on uniquely decorated Christmas trees, as well as view art work created by Laramie's elementary school students. The Festival of Trees is one of only two fundraisers put on by the art museum and is free to the public.  There are twenty-nine trees this year and nine pedestal items. Each tree is decorated by local organizations and individuals and will be auctioned off. Ornate and beautiful, funky and fun, each tree has a style of its own. The trees are provided by the museum, but it's the decorations that make the festival truly enjoyable. Hand made ornaments from Brazil, cookie dough ornaments and even a java themed tree are just a few of the wonderful things you will see. On top of the beautiful sights twenty groups will be performing holiday music and provide entertainment through the weekend event. The 18th annual Festival of Trees is meant to bring the Laramie Community together through the sights and sounds of the holidays.
