University of Wyoming Trustees Table Tuition Changes
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — University of Wyoming trustees have postponed consideration of a plan to freeze tuition rates for in-state students and increase tuition by 8% for out-of-state students.
The Laramie Boomerang reports the board's budget committee decided Wednesday to take up the matter in July.
Administrators have estimated that the proposed tuition changes for the 2020-21 academic year would raise in-state enrollment by 75 students and decrease out-of-state enrollment by 84.
The committee also tabled proposals concerning financial aid.
Officials have proposed adding $1 million of need-based aid for Wyoming students while upping ACT and GPA requirements for tuition waivers.
