Some top awards went to University of Wyoming students at the Association of College Unions International Region IV Conference recently held in Corvallis, Ore.  Jacob Chavez Jr. and Madison Cooley, student graphic design employees in the Wyoming Union marketing office, took part in the “Steal This Idea” graphic design competition.

First place in the print category went to Chavez for his poster promoting UW’s Service, Leadership, and Community Engagement Office’s alternative break team leader opportunities.

Chavez was also awarded the Judge’s Choice in the t-shirt category for the Campus Activity Center’s t-shirt design for the Trampled by Turtles concert, as well as for the SLCE office’s first-year institute welcome packet in the competition’s multi-page category.

Cooley’s poster promoting the Campus Activity Center’s Friday Night Fever annual Casino Night won her an honorable mention in the print category.

Winners were judged based on design, concept, effectiveness, and editorial content.
