A University of Wyoming Survey shows that an overwhelming majority of students seem quite happy with the education they are receiving and the experiences they have had at the University of Wyoming. The following statistics are from the latest UW Student Opinion Survey.

Since 1994, there are three student surveys which are conducted on a biennial basis. The UW Student Opinion Survey is one of those student surveys and is composed of questions that have been developed in part by the University's Student Affairs and Academic Affairs. Returns from the survey show that overall, 96% of students say they are satisfied and happy with their education at UW.

There are many other highlights from the survey including 93% of students said they would recommend the University to their friends and relatives. In 2010, 85% of students also stated that they gained intellectual knowledge. That statistic is compared to only 3% who expressed dissatisfaction. Student's also seem to be content with tuition costs and student fees. UW's student satisfaction pertaining to tuition is higher than the national average.

Financial Aid is another area in which UW saw a hike in satisfaction. In 1994, 60% of students were satisfied with financial aid. Returns from the new survey show the new percentage is 73%. That number is also significantly higher than the national average.

The University of Wyoming has also made many improvements in its food services and the new percentage shows. In 2002, 37% of students were satisfied, that has increased to 61% in 2010. Another notable statistic is that of intramural and recreational sports and activities at the university in which 93% of students expressed satisfaction.

The other two surveys that are conducted on a biennial basis at the University of Wyoming are the ACT Student Opinion Survey and the Noel-Levits Student Satisfactory Inventory. Compared to the national averages, The University of Wyoming ranks higher in 67 out of 144 items on the ACT Student Opinion Survey and the Noel-Levitz Student Satisfactory Inventory. UW only ranks lower on just 12 of the items. The ACT was first used by the university in 1994; the NL in 1998. The results of those two surveys provide UW with national samples of public universities.
