This week’s star show at the University of Wyoming Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium features Treasures of the Milky Way.

Star gazers will explore dark interstellar clouds that accompany the birth of stars as well as the beauty that accompanies a star’s death. Star clusters and a massive black hole at the center of the galaxy will also be explored.

Treasures of the Milky Way begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015. Doors will open 20 minutes before show time. The star show is followed by a Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band laser show. The laser show will start at 8:20 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $2 for students and $3 for non-students. Tickets are available at the Department of Physics main office which is located in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building. Tickets may be purchased Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. until noon. Tickets will also be sold at the door if the show is not sold out.
