The new year is well under way and the Wyoming Education Association is set and ready for what is to come. The WEA has a new Executive Director as well as new board members. Executive Director Craig Williams along with the board members are looking forward to see what the legislative session will bring to the table.

Craig Williams has been a long-time WEA member as well as leader and has accepted the position of Acting Executive Director for the Wyoming Education Association. Prior to taking his new position, Williams had served six years as the WEA Vice President and held the position of Southeast Region Representative on the board. Craig Williams has extensive knowledge with the WEA and its history. Besides being a member of the WEA, Craig Williams has taught for seventeen years in Wyoming and has been an instructional facilitator for the last five years. To top off his accolades, Williams was also the nominee for the 2010 NEA Award for Teaching Excellence.

The board members as well as Director Craig Williams will be off to a very busy start this year. One of the items in store for the WEA is the upcoming Legislative session and Delegate Assembly.

The Wyoming Education Association is also excited to introduce the new board members. There are nine board members from across the state who will aid Acting Executive Director Craig Williams with the busy year ahead. Debbie Bovee is the new Vice President, Kathryn Ferris Lone Fight holds the position of Minority Representative and Chuck Denny is the Higher Ed Representative. The Central Region President is Dee Wood and she will be assisted by Doreen McGlade who now holds the position of Central Region Representative. The Northeast and Northwest Region Representatives are Jen Fowler and Jeannie Hunt. Bonnie Matlock is the new Southwest Region Representative and to finish off the list of board members is Jennifer Smith who holds the position of Student President.
