Motorists on Wyoming's I-80 may have noticed there was an abundance of antique, vintage, and collector cars on the highway Wednesday and Thursday.

The 2016 Great Race is taking drivers from San Rafael, California to Moline, Illinois. Drivers and navigators have eight check points in between, including two in Wyoming. Tuesday evening racers arrived in Evanston for the night and Wednesday they made the long rally across I-80, stopping in Rawlins for lunch, and ultimately ending at Cheyenne's Depot Plaza.

There are over 130 teams participating in this year's event.

Racers stop in Rapid City, South Dakota, Sioux Fallx, South Dakota, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa before the final leg into Moline.
