Ten inches of snow is possible in some mountain areas.

All of those rescued were out-of-state residents.

High winds are in the forecast for at least the next day.

This is a very strong weather system that has the potential to cause major impacts for early September in localized areas

Thursday will bring snow accumulations to south-central, southeast, east-central and central Wyoming, impacting I-80 and I-25.

Snow, freezing drizzle and fog will impact travel in southeastern Wyoming Friday through early Saturday.

Another blast of wintry weather is expected to hit southeast Wyoming early next week.

Travel will likely be impacted due to heavy snow at times, with wind gusts causing blowing snow/reduced visibility issues as well.
