The University of Wyoming's Office of Research and Economic Development has provided funding for five collaborative projects aimed at providing benefits to UW and the state.

Karen Tangeman, engineering technician for the Public Works department, said while some of the projects are slated to be completed in the fall, their start dates had not yet been determined. She said the city would be providing updates as soon as they were available.
Laramie received approval for two $3 million grants, one for the construction of a 20,00 square-foot building for HiViz Shooting Systems, the other for redevelopments to the Empress Lot in downtown Laramie.
