In a statement Wednesday, Mills police emphasized that the shooting is believed to have been an isolated incident.

The crash, which involved a black Ford Focus hitting a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, killed the two people in the Focus and sent the occupants of the pickup -- an adult and two children -- to the hospital.

The affected employees are being notified this week, according to a Monday news release from UW.

Criminal charges are being reviewed by the Natrona County District Attorney's Office.

According to the affidavit, the victim was taken to Ivinson Memorial Hospital with stab wounds on his left shoulder and under his left armpit.
