As winter gives way to spring and spring to summer, the rodeo action in Wyoming is heating up.

Each of these people have impacted the community in their own ways, both big and small and, for that, the powers-that-be with the Ford Wyoming Center and the College National Finals Rodeo wanted to take a moment to honor them, these 'Hometown Heroes.'

New Tribute Show on ESPNU will cover the last 20 years of the CNFR and will highlight the athletes with clips and interviews.

Rachel Calvo took third place, while Ty Everson finished fourth to lead the University of Wyoming rodeo teams at the CNFR in Casper last week.

It’s been a mixed bag of results so far for the University of Wyoming at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper through Tuesday.

On the strength of two top three individual finishes, the Wyoming Cowgirl rodeo team finished as national runner-up at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR).

Odessa coach C.J. Aragon says the Hallsville, Australia, native is making small improvements.
