A Sweetwater County Sheriff is taking some heat from the public after it was found out that he paid more than $50,000 for greeting cards and security services. That only begs the question of "How can greeting cards cost that much?"

Simply You Creations in Eagle Mountain, Utah is owned by Sheriff Rich Haskell's son and daughter in law. Sheriff Haskell used public money to pay the company more than $50,000 for handmade greeting cards as well as security services.

According to the Rock Springs Rocket Miner, vouchers show that Haskell spent $4,200 on greeting cards over a 3 year period. Another $47,000 was spent for security services over a one month period.

Apparently Sheriff Haskell gave employees personalized cards for their birthdays and anniversaries. The security payment was also for his son who was in charge of coordinating a suicide watch at a hospital in Utah for a Wyoming murder suspect.
