Speed & Alcohol Possible Factors in Fatal Wyoming Crash
Speed and alcohol are being investigated as factors in a fatal crash that occurred near Riverton Friday night, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 6:20 p.m. on 17 Mile Road.
The patrol says 40-year-old Wyoming resident Lonestar Addison was westbound near milepost 104.9 when Addison crossed the center line and sideswiped an oncoming pickup.
Addison's SUV went off the road, hit an embankment and went airborne before coming down on the driver's side front bumper and tumbling end over end.
Addison, who was unbuckled, was thrown from the SUV and died at the scene. The driver of the pickup was not injured.
The patrol says it was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
