UNDATED (AP) — The Toronto Blue Jays find themselves within five games of first place in the American League East after tying a franchise record for consecutive victories.

Edwin Encarnacion (ehn-kahr-nah-see-OHN') homered and had four RBIs as the Jays won their 11th in a row, 13-5 over the Orioles. Colby Rasmus also went deep for the Blue Jays, who won 11 straight in 1987 and again in 1998.

The offensive outburst allowed a shaky Josh Johnson to pick up his first win as a Blue Jay. Johnson was reached for four runs and seven hits in six-plus innings.

Ryan Flaherty homered twice for the Orioles, who allowed a season high for runs to remain to games behind East-leading Boston.

In other AL action:

__Pinch-hitter Kendrys Morales had a game-ending three-run homer in the 10th inning and Raul Ibanez (rah-OOL' ih-BAHN'-yehz) connected twice for the Seattle Mariners in a 6-3 victory over the Oakland Athletics. That's the 18th multi-homer game for the 41-year-old Ibanez in his career.

__The Red Sox lost to Detroit 7-5 despite reaching Justin Verlander for four runs and seven hits in five innings. Torii Hunter hit a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the eighth inning after two Boston errors helped load the bases. Prince Fielder added a two-run single for the Tigers.

__The New York Yankees stayed 2 ½ games behind Boston as the Rays earned a 3-1 victory in the Bronx on James Loney's tiebreaking, two-run single in the seventh. Chris Archer pitched six innings of one-run ball for his first win in three starts since June 7.

__Emergency starter Pedro Hernandez allowed two runs in five innings as Minnesota downed Cleveland 5-3 to avoid a three-game sweep. Oswaldo Arcia and Josh Willingham drove in two runs apiece to support Hernandez, who was pressed into service when Mike Pelfrey was placed on the disabled list with a back injury.

__Kansas City turned Chicago errors into a three-run eighth that allowed the Royals to beat the White Sox 7-6. Chicago led 6-5 until Alexei Ramirez misplayed a two-out grounder, allowing two runs to score. The White Sox also wasted Adam Dunn's 20th homer and four RBIs.

Over in the NL:

— Adrian Gonzalez and Hanley Ramirez hit back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a stunning 3-1 victory over the San Diego Padres. Gonzalez broke a 1-all tie with a drive to right field off closer Huston (HYOO'-stuhn) Street, and Ramirez hit the next pitch to right-center to help Los Angeles split the four-game series.

— Justin Ruggiano hit a leadoff homer to get Miami started and capped the game with a two-run shot in the ninth inning to lead the Marlins to their 10th win in their last 11 games in San Francisco, 7-2.

__Atlanta leads the NL East by 6 ½ games over Washington after Brian McCann put the Braves ahead 4-2 with a grand slam in the first inning of a 7-4 victory in Milwaukee. Chris Johnson and Jordan Schafer added solo homers for the Braves, who had gone scoreless in 24 consecutive innings before McCann's homer.

__Michael Cuddyer (kuh-DY'-ur) stretched his hitting streak to 21 games by going 3-for-4 with four RBIs in Colorado's 7-6 win over the Nationals. The Rockies built a 7-0 lead for Jorge De La Rosa, who limited the Nats to a pair of runs and seven hits in six innings to improve to 8-4.

__The New York Mets crushed Philadelphia 8-0 as Matt Harvey allowed two hits over six shutout innings before being lifted following a rain delay. David Wright came within a single of the cycle, going 4-for-5 with a homer, a triple and two doubles.

__ Cincinnati doubled up NL West-leading Arizona 4-2. Mat Latos (LAY'-tohs) matched his career high with 13 strikeouts as the Reds salvaged the finale of their three-game series.

In interleague play:

__ Ian Kinsler singled in the tiebreaking run in the seventh inning after the Rangers knocked 10-game winner Adam Wainwright out of the game, and Texas completed a soggy three-game sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals with a 2-1 victory Sunday night. They waited out the rain for three hours to start the game.

__ Pittsburgh completed a three-game interleague sweep on the road in Anaheim with a wild 10-9 win in 10 innings over the L.A. Angels. Pedro Alvarez homered for the fourth straight game. Starling Marte (MAHR'-tay) capped a three-run ninth inning with a tying single.
