RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) — The City of Rawlins plans to build a community fishing lake in partnership with local and state agencies.

Hannum says the Carbon County commissioners agreed to donate 15 acres of land for the project and Wyoming Game and Fish will stock the lake with fish.

Work on the $1.4 million project is expected to begin in July and be completed by next March.

Hannum says the project will include a pond of storm water runoff and a lake of recreational use. He says a developer plans to build an apartment complex near the lake.
